VSF members implement globally more than 100 cooperation projects in 40 countries with an annual budget of more than 20 million Euros. The sectors of intervention of VSF include community- based animal health programmes; support to local veterinary services; natural resource management; promotion of traditional veterinary knowledge; support to market
access for small scale farmers; emergency relief and preparedness; promotion and defence of food sovereignty and promotion of income generation activities.

In this publication some of the members’ projects are presented, selected to represent the main areas of intervention. This very broad spectrum of activities reflects VSF Europa’s wide approach in livestock related cooperation projects with rural communities, and the importance of awareness raising in developed countries, addressed to all levels of civil society.
